· The Pusan-Kyungnam center of KITECH(Korea Institute of Industrial Technology) was founded at Pusan National University in 1994 to promote the interdisciplinary mutual R&D in the field of machinery, automobiles, and footwear industry of Pusan and Kyungnam district and to support strengthening of manufacturing skill on the field.
· The center is supposed to establish a close cooperation with the KITECH under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(MOTIE), the institute of Pusan industrial technology, the institute of Kyungnam industrial technology, and local governments of Pusan and Kyungnam-Do and contribute to improving a technical competitive power of local small/medium companies.
